Although you will almost never find them in paintings or histories, women played an important part in the Revolutionary Era – both before and during the actual warfare. As women of the Press, the Daughters of Liberty, spies, combatants, officers’ wives (including Martha Washington and Catherine Greene), and camp followers, they made valuable contributions to the fight for independence.

From the RI Community Food Bank, come learn with us! Day 1: Chop it Up, all about Fruits and Vegetables; Day 2: Knead It, all about Whole Grains; Day 3: Muddle It, all about Hydration; Day 4: Sugar & Salt Swaps, Tearing, Chopping, Muddling. Enjoy your culinary creations and take home a kitchen tool, too. Registration is Required- space is limited, so call or email the library to reserve your spot. Ages 8-12.

THE LIT BOOK CLUB
Our book club will meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm.  All are welcome!  Each month we’ll read and discuss a work of fiction or nonfiction – book club members will take turns choosing a title.  No registration required.
