TAKE AND MAKE JOURNALING FOR ADULTS

Receive a journal and pen to start journaling in order to “find your voice” or express it.

TAKE AND MAKE TINY ART
Available while supplies last
Receive a “tiny” canvas and paint to create a work of art around the theme of “Find Your Voice”. Return your canvas to the library to have it displayed for the summer and be featured in our end of summer Tiny Art Show.

BLACK OUT POETRY
Wednesday, June 28th, 6pm
This program, for teens +, will allow you to express yourself through poetry. What is blackout poetry? Blackout poetry is when you take a written piece of text from a book, newspaper, or magazine and black out words, in order to come up with your very own poetry! Registration required.

MOVIE NIGHT – “SING”
Friday, July 7th, 6pm
Join us to watch “Sing” on the big screen. Popcorn will be provided. For all ages. Registration required.

NATURE STORIES WITH THE RI AUDUBON SOCIETY
Monday, July 10th, 1pm
Listen to a story, do some activities, and meet a live animal! For Pre-K – 2nd grade. Registration required.

FAMILY CRAFTERNOON

Create a “kindness rock” and/or make your own family words resist art. All supplies are provided. For all ages. Registration required.

ART WITH WORDS WITH NICOLE PICHETTE

Create a work of art using words. All supplies are provided, just bring your ideas (or a picture) of what you would like to create. For middle school +. Registration required.

FIDDLE N’ FUN WITH JOEL BEAUCHEMIN

Back by popular demand, Fiddle N’ Fun returns as part of the events lineup for the 2023 Summer Reading Program “Find Your Voice”. Kids (and parents) will be singing, dancing, shaking parachutes, and learning to play the Fiddlestix (locally-made). BUILD A BOOK HUT
Monday, July 31st, 3-5pm
Have fun helping to construct and weave together branches and vines into a book hut in the Library’s backyard. Popsicles will be served.  The book hut project will be completed and ready to share by the library’s end of summer celebration on Friday, August 4th! Grades 2-8. Registration required.

FANTASY STORIES COME ALIVE
Wednesday, August 2nd, 4-5:30 pm
Let your imagination run free! Come create a super short story, poem, graphic novel panel, or play inspired by the magical illustrations of artist Elise Hurst—found in The Storyteller’s Handbook. Be wowed by how everyone (individually or as a writing team) invents their unique tale. Time will be allotted for the creation of a few group stories, individual writing or drawing, and sharing! Grades 2-8. Registration required.

OPEN “MIC” NIGHT AND TINY ART SHOW
Friday, August 2nd, 3-5pm
Bring something you’ve created or that speaks to you, a piece of art, a poem, a story, a song, etc. to share with us. Also enjoy some snacks while perusing the community’s tiny art show. For families. Sponsored by Navigant Credit Union. Registration required.
