COMPOSTING FOR KIDS 101

What is compost really – and why is it so important? This presentation will help you understand the amazing process of composting. We’ll talk about the science behind it and the rules you want to follow to make it work for you! You will also learn about the tremendous impact you and other students can make in Rhode Island (and for the environment as a whole) just by starting a compost bin!  Registration required. All ages.

PAINT AND PLANT
Saturday, June 29th, 1pm
Paint your own  planter and then plant a native RI flower in it.   Registration required. Ages 5+

DAVE MARCHETTI’S ANIMAL EXPERIENCES
Monday, July 8th, 1:30pm
Owner and presenter of Animal Experiences, Dave, will introduce you to a variety of unique and thought-provoking reptiles. Our show is both entertaining and educational. Dave will present animals that you will have the ability to hold and touch. We believe that this elevates the experience and makes it a thrilling and lasting memory for both adults and children.  Registration required.

BUILDER’S CLUB
Last Wednesday of each month, 5-6pm
Build with different blocks – be creative! Try out our monthly challenge, as well. For ages 6+.  No registration required.

LIBRARY PLAY HOUR
Saturdays, 10:30-11:30
Come in to play with your kids in our children’s room.  Play with Legos, blocks, puzzles, and more! Connect with your kids and other families through play.  Ages 0-6, but siblings of all ages are always welcome.  No registration required.

THE LIT BOOK CLUB
Our book club will meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm.  All are welcome!  Each month we’ll read and discuss a work of fiction or nonfiction – book club members will take turns choosing a title.  No registration required.
